Exactly what I want to hear: "We're fast. We're high energy and aggressive." Not sit back and react Minter defensive strategy. The players buying into Brown's defense is key.

I read a excellent piece on the evolution of Corwin Brown from "Here Come the Irish 2007: An Annual Guide to Notre Dame Football" last night, which I highly recommend. It provides a good deal of insight into the 3-4 defense ND will be running. If you had to single out one position as most important in the 3-4 scheme it's the defensive line. I think this is the single greatest concern for our defense heading into 2007, stopping the run up the middle.
Corwin has always been a student of the game and was fortunate enough to learn under some of the great minds the game has ever seen. He's very personable and generally well liked by his teammates and players. What I'm trying to say is we have one heck of a man and coach running our defense.
