Ex-teammate, good friend, and now USC Trojan, Marc Tyler, believes Clausen's future is still very bright...as do I. More...

Very interesting that Clausen's high school teammate and one of his best friends can tell that Jimmy's arm is not 100%.

I think we could all see it as well. If you look at last year's videos vs. this year, his arm is much weaker.
I hope Sharpley can finish the season out strong (maybe even blow some people out) so Jimmy can come in for relief and build his confidence. Then back to the QB battle for next year.

Yes, its pretty obvious that Clausen isn't healthy yet. He's probably not even ready for the college game yet either. If you look at most of the freshman quarterbacks who have excelled in their first season, you'll notice they all have something in common: and that is an exceptional supporting cast.
I can't recall too many, but Colt McCoy last year, and Sam Bradford this year come to mind. Come to think of it, they weren't even true freshman, but REDSHIRT freshman.
Seeing as Clausen's supporting cast is missing the "exceptional" part and he's not healthy yet, I don't think anyone should be too hard on him.

Well said by all above. I agree completely. I watched him in person at the BG spring game and his arm really seemed to have some zip then, but not now. It just looks like he needs some time to get his strength back. Good article and I can't wait to Jimmy at 100% with a good O-Line and Kamara, Tate Parris & Floyd lined up in the years to come!

I concur with all of you. As rough as this year has been for Clausen, it should only make him better.
