Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was named to the 2008 Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List on Thursday. Clausen started the season's second game after coming on late in the opener against Georgia Tech. It was the quickest a freshman had started for the Irish since freshmen became eligible in 1972.
