We're better without a fullback and spreading the field (though Schwapp is blocking much better.) It simplifies the blocking assignments and gives us many opportunities to win one on one match-ups with our talented wide receivers. It also opens the field for Allen. Well, it's about f-in time we started figuring things out. Our offensive production prior to Purdue was downright depressing. More importantly, Weis & Co. finally realized we are a finesse team that can whip it around and not a rock 'em sock 'em robot squad that can just run it down the opponents throats.

Playing to the strengths of your players is usually a good idea. Let's hope the 2nd half against Purdue was a preview of great things to come and not an anomaly.
