"He admits that each of those schools [LSU, Oregon, and USC] are still trying to get him to visit them officially, but Crist hasn't scheduled any visits yet. "We don't have any bye weeks, so it's tough to schedule an official visit," he admitted. "I really only plan on taking a trip to Notre Dame, but I may have to wait until after my season. I really don't see myself taking any other trips. It's a pretty solid commitment. I can't put a number on it, but I don't see my mind changing. I guess it's possible, but not probable.""
"Solid on his commitment" is certainly one way to gloss it ... I'm not all that worried yet, but we darn well better win out these last four.

If the post was titled "Dayne Crist Pretty Solid on his Commitment" it wouldn't go over too well...at least with me. I'm not worried about Dayne because he chose ND for all the right reasons, which appears to be the case with the other 20 commits.
Let's win out and head into 2008 with some momentum.

I think Crist will be alright. If he was going to open things up with other schools, I think he would have done that already. He doesn't seem the type to pull a Trattou and back out late. Kudos to the three scumbag schools, that are trying to pick off another verbal committment. The NCAA needs to do something about that....

You guys will love this:
“I really respect all the fans. I take great pride in the fans of Notre Dame," Crist said. "I don’t want them to get the wrong idea or have questions about my character. I’m a guy that has a lot of integrity and was raised the right way.”
Brian Polian was out and Crist's high school last Friday for a visit.
Crist also said that he spoke with Deion Walker on Tuesday. He also keeps up with Gerell Robinson.
“Deion is a great guy. Whether he comes to Notre Dame or not, he’s going to have a great career. Hopefully I’ll be able to throw him touchdown passes at Notre Dame.”
