Filer wasn't always a stud

As a youngster, Steven Filer wasn’t as in to sports as he was in to school. His parents use the same word to physically describe Filer as a kid, “goofy.” “He was a big, goofy kid,” Filer’s father also named Steven says. Good article. Filer, like many of our recruits really sounds like he's got a good head on his shoulders. Hopefully he can have a Brian Smith like impact this fall.

I expect more from Fleming this year than I do from Filer, however, Filer has all the makings of a good one.
