The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive lineman from Elizabeth, N.J. is Notre Dame's 11th commitment. A visit from Charlie Weis, a trip to South Bend for the Blue-Gold Game, and a chance at early playing time was enough for Hafis to end the recruiting process and become Irish. More...

According to Lemming, Hafis is the best lineman in the state of New Jersey and a 5-start recruit. As much as I tell myself recruting stars are overrated it's always nice to get a guy who is considered a 5-star by a top recruiting source.
