We only brought in one running back in this class, but he's a darn good one. Love Gray's combination of size and speed.

Junior - Aldridge: The jury is still out on him. Will he be fully healthy? If so, I think he can get 50% of our carries, if not, he may be riding the pine.
Sophomores - Allen & Hughes: These are probably the most talented of our 4 running backs. No other RB has the speed of Allen and no other RB has the strength and size of Hughes. If Aldridge is healthy, I'd like to see all 3 of them get 1/3 of the carries until 1 RB emerges as the best. I think Allen will be our go to RB in 2009.
Freshman - Gray - He may get PT this year, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing him red-shirt for a year and learn the system. He is a bruising back and will certainly be important in years to come.
**Golden Tate - If he can't win a starting spot @ WR this year, give him some reps @ RB. He would be perfect for the read option type plays (Slaton...). This may become a more viable option when Crist is a Sophomore b/c he has a little bit more dual-threat in him than Jimmy (I don't think Dayne will start as a Soph., but I do think he'll be getting reps).

Several of those highlights were against my former high school, Grand Rapids Catholic Central. I would have attended the game, but Jonas was committed to Nebraska at the time. He looks like the real deal to me.
