charlotte.com - Robert Blanton Jr., a senior at Butler high school, has been awarded the AT&T Cadet Achievement Award medal for excellence in academics, leadership and citizenship. Next stop for Blanton, Notre Dame, where he will be locking down wide receivers, flashing his big smile, and having fun all the while.

What a great example of the young men who come to Notre Dame to play football. No, we don't have to recruit the thugs and criminals other programs do just to win. Way to go Charlie Weis for getting players like Robert. Welcome to Notre Dame Robert Blanton. You will be part of something great before you graduate from ND.
